Barbour is an English brand founded in 1894 focused in weatherproofed and ready-to-wear goods. For their 2017 Fall collection Barbour wanted to experiment with new patterns that could be "water printed". As a result of this I developed a line of hydrographics inspired by the landscapes and topography of the UK.
Generally uppers are printed, cut and sewn. In this case the challenge was to create interesting graphics that could be water immersed after the shoe was constructed so the patterns had to be flexible to shape to the curves of each boot.
